Tahun ini, surat kabar Korea Sports DongA meluncurkan acara penghargaan musik untuk memberikan penghargaan kepada artis-artis yang telah memeriahkan dunia K-pop selama satu tahun terakhir
“D Awards Delights (Blue Label)”, juga dikenal sebagai penghargaan Bonsang, diberikan kepada artis K-pop yang memberikan dampak selama satu tahun terakhir. Sementara “D Awards Dreams (Silver Label)” diberikan untuk artis-artis pendatang baru yang akan memeriahkan dunia K-pop di masa mendatang.
