Pada 31 Desember, SBS Drama Awards 2021 digelar di SBS Prism Tower Seoul, dan dipandu oleh Shin Dong Yup dan Kim Yoo Jung.
Sejumlah drama meraih kemenangan besar, seperti “Lovers of the Red Sky”, “Taxi Driver”, “One the Woman”, “Racket Boys”, dan “The Penthouse”, yang memenangkan piala Daesang untuk Kim So Yeon.
Dalam pidatonya, Kim So Yeon berkata, “Aku memulai sebagai aktor pendukung 28 tahun lalu. Itu adalah drama SBS, dan tidak bisa dipercaya sekarang aku mendapatkan penghargaan besar dari SBS. Aku merasa hampir menyesal dan bertanya-tanya apakah aku bisa menerima penghargaan seperti ini. Aku kagum dan tersentuh dengan apa yang dapat ditunjukkan oleh sutradara ‘The Penthouse’. Berkat penulis naskah Kim Soon Ok, aku bisa berdiri di sini hari ini. Aku khawatir tentang setiap episode ‘The Penthouse’ apakah akan sukses, serta terima kasih dan cinta untuk (suamiku) Lee Sang Woo, yang menjadi mentor sehat dan optimis demi dapat melewati itu semua.”
Honey Lee memenangkan piala Top Excellence Award dan menyebutkan tentang suami barunya. “Sepertinya aku mengejutkan semua orang,” katanya. “Itu terjadi setelah dramaku berakhir. Terima kasih untuk semua yang sudah mengucapkan terima kasih kepadaku. Aku ingin berterima kasih kepada belahan jiwaku, yang dengan siapa aku akan menghabiskan sisa hidupku, dan aku akan membagi kebahagiaan ini dengannya.”
