Pada 26 November, Blue Dragon Film Awards ke-42 digelar untuk memberikan penghargaan kepada insan film terbaik di tahun 2021.
“Escape to Mogadishu”, yang sukses menjadi box office, membawa pulang total lima trofi, termasuk Best Picture, Best Director, dan Best Supporting Actor (Heo Joon Ho). “The Book of Fish”, film yang mendapatkan banyak pujian, juga memenangkan lima piala, termasuk Best Actor (Sol Kyung Gu), Best Screenplay, dan Best Cinematography and Lighting. “Three Sisters” membawa pulang piala untuk Best Actress (Moon So Ri) and Best Supporting Actress (Kim Sun Young).
