Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA) 2018 menggelar acara terakhir di Hong Kong pada 14 Desember.
MAMA 2018 pekan ini dimulai di Korea pada 10 Desember yang fokus kepada artis-artis pendatang baru dan profesional, serta dilanjutkan dengan Fans’ Choice di Jepang pada 12 Desember. Penghargaan Worldwide Icon of the Year menjadi Daesang pertama di tahun ini dan diberikan kepada BTS dalam acara yang digelar di Jepang.
MAMA 2018 in Hong Kong memberikan tiga buah Daesang lainnya. BTS menerima penghargaan Daesang Album of the Year untuk “Love Yourself: Tear” dan Artist of the Year, sementara TWICE memenangkan Daesang Song of the Year untuk “What is Love?”.
