Hari kedua gelaran MAMA Awards 2022 telah diselenggarakan di Osaka, Jepang!
Pada 30 November, hari kedua MAMA Awards digelar di Kyocera Dome Osaka, dan dipandu oleh Park Bo Gum.
Dalam acara hari pertama pada 29 November, mereka membagikan penghargaan Yogibo Worldwide Icon of the Year, Favorite New Artist, Worldwide Fans’ Choice (Bonsang), Yogibo Chill Artist, dan Favorite Asian Artist.
Selain memenangkan Yogibo Worldwide Icon of the Year award di hari pertama, BTS juga mendapatkan penghargaan spesial MAMA Platinum karena telah menciptakan “fenomena budaya global di luar K-pop”. Penghargaan Platinum ini juga memberikan penghormatan atas seluruh pencapaian BTS di MAMA beberapa tahun terakhir yakni meraih empat kategori Daesang (Grand Prize), seperti Worldwide Icon of the Year, Artist of the Year, Album of the Year, dan Song of the Year.
Sementara BTS membawa pulang tiga dari empat piala Daesang tahun ini, Song of the Year diberikan kepada IVE. Pencapaian ini menjadikan IVE, yang memenangkan penghargaan Favorite New Artist di hari pertama, sebagai grup ketiga yang berhasil membawa pulang piala Daesang dan artis pendatang baru di MAMA pada tahun yang sama.
