Sama seperti MMA 2020, MMA 2021 digelar secara online, ditayangkan langsung melalui kanal YouTube 1theK.
BTS menyabet lima penghargaan dari MMA 2021, termasuk Song of the Year. IU juga membawa pulang lima piala, termasuk Album of the Year dan Artist of the Year. Piala Daesang (Grand Prize) terakhir diberikan kepada aespa untuk Record of the Year.
