Gaon Chart Music Awards ke-9 digelar di Jamsil Arena, Seoul. Acara ini dipandu oleh Leeteuk Super Junior dan Lia ITZY untuk memberikan penghargaan bagi rilisan musik di tahun 2019.
Gaon Chart Music Awards diselenggarkan oleh chart catatan musik nasional Korea, Gaon. Mereka memberikan penghargaan untuk lagu, album, dan artis, beserta stylist, koreografer, produser, komposer, dan para ahli lainnya yang terlibat di industri musik. Para pemenang ditentukan dari chart penjualan yang dicatatkan oleh Gaon di tahun lalu. Berbeda dengan acara penghargaan lainnya, Gaon Chart Music Awards tidak memberikan piala Daesang (grand prize).
